The Gallery on Rushlake Green.

Rushlake Green is a tiny Sussex village in the South of England. It’s where I live. I’ve been painting in watercolour since 1970, views of the South Downs, farm buildings, trees, things in my cottage etc.

The details of paintings shown here show the sort of thing I do. I love the way that watercolour does it’s own thing, and watch in delight as one colour runs into another. People say my work has a quietness about it.

My influences are many, but Pierre Bonnard, Giorgio Morandi and Ellsworth Kelly are high on my list.
